Meet Mrs. HW

I came to Mt Ayr from Saint Anthony's Catholic School last year, and this will be my 2nd year at Mt Ayr! I will be teaching title for my 3rd year. I went to Temple University for Journalism and Communications. I then worked in the Marketing and Advertising world for many years. I decided I was ready for a change, so I went back to school for Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Reading at Graceland University. My students call me Mrs. HW, because my last name is a mouthful.

 

I was born and raised in NYC, and my family and I moved to Lamoni in 2017. I am married with 2 beautiful girls. My husband Twong is the Director of Enrollment at Graceland University, my youngest daughter Ashleigh will be entering MS going into the 6th grade, and my oldest daughter Jayla will be going into 11th grade. Our daughters are heavily involved in Taekwondo, so that keeps us busy. We have 2 dogs named Storm and Belle. In my spare time I love to read, and spend time with my family.
