Elementary Art Teacher
I, Diana Fisher am looking forward to teaching elementary art at Mt. Ayr in the mornings this year. I have taught elementary art in Bedford for the last 23 years in the afternoons. I included other part time jobs along with teaching art. I am an Advanced EMT for the Taylor County Ambulance. I just resigned from my full time position as dispatcher/jailer at the Taylor County Sheriff's Office to teach elementary art full time. I have also taught art part time in New Market and Diagonal while teaching afternoons in Bedford.
I received my teaching degree from Buena Vista University and my k-12 art endorsements from Northwest Missouri State University. Art and teaching have always been my passion.
I am the wife of Michael Fisher, Sr and mother to Michelle Bennett, Michael Fisher, Jr., Melanie Gross, Daniel Fisher, Amanda Fisher and Melissa Hodapp. I am also a grandmother to 19 awesome grandchildren and great-grandmother of three. I am guardian for two challenged young adults. After working at the sheriff's office for 16 years, I am looking forward to having evenings and weekends to spend with my family.
I believe this year is going to bring so many more opportunities than challenges. Art is the best vehicle I know for children to express themselves during trying times and really blossom. This is going to be an exciting adventure.
