Meet Mrs. HW

I came to Mt Ayr from Saint Anthony's Catholic School, and this will be my 3rd year at Mt Ayr. I am going in my 4th year of teaching title reading. I went to Temple University for Journalism and Communications. I then worked in the Marketing and Advertising world for many years. I decided I was ready for a change, so I went back to school for Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Reading at Graceland University. My students call me Mrs. HW, because my last name is a mouthful.

 

I was born and raised in NYC, and my family and I moved to Lamoni in 2017. I am married with 2 beautiful girls. My husband Twong is the Director of Enrollment at Graceland University, my youngest daughter Ashleigh is in MS going into the 7th grade, and my oldest daughter Jayla will be going into 12th grade. My daughters are involved in various extracurricular activities, which keep me very busy.  In my spare time I love to read, and spend time with my family.
