Elementary Art, STEAM, & TAG Teacher

Hello! My name is Miss Emily Thomas, and I teach Elementary Art, STEAM, and TAG at Mount Ayr Elementary. This is my third year at Mount Ayr, and I’m excited for the year ahead and all the learning, creativity, and fun it will bring!

I’m originally from Indianola, Iowa, and now live in Bedford with my fiancé. I earned my degree in K–12 Art Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Outside the classroom, I love creating art, spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas City Chiefs, and Indiana Fever.
