Special Education Teacher
My name is Stephanie Weeda.
I had the privilege of growing up in a military family and that is where my love for traveling began. I have traveled to, lived in and explored many different places and in the past few years I have had opportunities to teach during some of my adventures.
My family and I moved often, so I attended school in Kansas and Texas. In 2001 we moved to Lamoni where I attended 8-12 grade. After high school, I attended Graceland University and graduated in 2011 with a BA in Elementary Education with endorsements in math, reading, special education, and coaching. I have continued education through University of Northern Iowa to obtain an endorsement in ESL and just finished my Masters Degree in School Counseling through Southeastern Oklahoma State University. This is my third year teaching at Mount Ayr and my 7th year of teaching. I also really enjoy sports have coached softball, track and volleyball. This year I will be the assistant high school volleyball coach and one of the middle school track coaches.
I love doing anything outdoors, with animals, or involving sports! I currently live just outside of Mount Ayr on a little farm with my husband, Nathan.
I am very excited about this adventure as a Raider!
