Pre-School Teacher

Hello, Raiders! My name is Emily Schnoor and I am teaching pre-school here at Mount Ayr Elementary. I graduated in 2019 from the University of Northern Iowa with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Literacy. I earned my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2022 from Northwest Missouri State University. 

 

I have taught five years in kindergarten and this will be my third year in PK, teaching with Mrs. Knox and our fantastic paras. Every day is different and full of fun! We start the year as acquaintances and end the year as a class family. 

 

My husband is Caleb Schnoor and we have an energetic chocolate lab, Moose, active toddler, Stetson, and happy baby, Josie. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy time spent with family, being on the farm, reading lots of books, and cheering on the Cyclones, Packers, and Chiefs.
