5th Grade Teacher

After receiving my degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, in 2008, I traveled south to begin my teaching career in Bixby, Oklahoma, in 2009.  My role within Bixby Public Schools was a Title I Reading Specialist in a targeted assistance school at Brassfield 5th and 6th Grade Center.  As an Iowa native, I made my way back to Iowa and began teaching upper elementary at Mount Ayr in 2012.  My time at MACS has been spent with 5th and 6th grade students. Upper elementary brings lots of personality, laughs, and learning opportunities each day!
